Mock Modular Forms
The main motivation for the theory of mock modular forms comes from the desire to provide a framework in which we can understand the mysterious and intriguing mock theta functions, as well as related functions, like Appell functions and theta functions associated to indefinite quadratic forms. In this talk, we will describe the nature of the modularity of the original mock theta functions, formulate a general definition of mock modular forms, and describe further examples. We will also consider a generalization to higher depth mock modular forms
