Workshop on Flows, Foliations and Contact Structures

This workshop was part of the topical program "Geometric Structures on 3-Manifolds" which took place during the 2015-2016 academic year at the Institute for Advanced Study. The workshop focused on the relations between flows, 2-dimensional foliations, and contact structures on 3-manifolds. In addition, the aim was to foster interactions between the different viewpoints on these topics as well as with related invariants of 3-manifolds such as Floer homology and (circular) orderings of the fundamental group.
