Joint IAS/Princeton University Number Theory Seminar

Euler system, Eisenstein congruences and the p-adic Langlands correspondence

I will discuss how the use of the p-adic Langlands correspondence for GL_2(Q_p) allows to study Eisenstein congruences of various weight, level and slopes in order to construct Euler systems. I will discuss the GL(2)-case with some details and give some hints how to treat the symplectic case in the ordinary setting.
