Joint IAS/Princeton University Number Theory Seminar

Let $G$ be a reductive group over a global function field. V. Lafforgue has recently constructed the \'automorphic-to-Galois\' direction of the global Langlands correspondence for $G$. I will discuss a potential converse to this result. This is joint work with G. Boeckle, M. Harris, and C. Khare.
