How do I add CSDM or School of Math Seminars ical feeds to an Android device?

Step 1:  Add the calendar(s) to Google Calendar

To add the CSDM Seminars iCal feed to Google Calendar:

  1. Go to the Institute's online calendar webpage.
  2. Scroll down to the "iCal Feeds" section of the page, right-click on "CSDM Seminars" and choose "Copy Link."
  3. Open Google Calendar in a web browser. 
  4. Click the plus sign (+) in the "Other Calendars" section. 
  5. Select "From URL." 
  6. Paste the URL of the "CSDM Seminars" iCal feed that was copied in Step 2 into the "From URL" field. 
  7. Click on "Add Calendar." 
  8. Wait for Google to import the events.

To add the Mathematics seminars iCal feed to Google Calendar:

  1. Go to the Institute's online calendar webpage.
  2. Scroll down to the "iCal Feeds" section of the page, right-click on "Mathematics" and choose "Copy Link."
  3. Open Google Calendar in a web browser. 
  4. Click the plus sign (+) in the "Other Calendars" section. 
  5. Select "From URL." 
  6. Paste the URL of the "Mathematics" iCal feed that was copied in Step 2 into the "From URL" field. 
  7. Click on "Add Calendar."
  8. Wait for Google to import the events.

 

Step 2:  Sync the calendar(s) on your Android device

  1. Open the Calendar app on your device, open the menu, and select Settings.
  2. Select the Google account to which you added the calendar feed. 
  3. Tap on Show more and then the calendar you are interested in displaying on your calendar  (e.g., CSDM Seminars, Mathematics, etc.)
  4. Turn on the Sync option.
  5. Repeat this process for each additional calendar feed you would like to sync to your device.
