How to configure your Android device to access your IAS email
Given the variety of variety of Android OS versions and email applications available today, it would be very difficult to draft a comprehensive set of instructions that covered every combination. For that reason, we have provided below the standard IMAP and SMTP settings that can be used to configure your preferred Android email application.
- Username: This is the portion of your IAS email address before the @ sign. For example, if your IAS email address is jdoe@ias.edu, your IAS username is jdoe.
- Email address: your IAS email address (username@ias.edu)
- Password: your IAS password
- Use SSL or secure connection: selected
- IMAP or Incoming Server: mail.ias.edu
- IMAP Port: 993 (SSL)
- SMTP or Outgoing Server: smtpauth.ias.edu
- SMTP Port: 587 (TLS)
[Note: You can also access the mobile version of IAS Webmail from your Android device's web browser. Simply choose "Mobile" from the drop-down list next to "Version".
