Deirdre LoughridgeNortheastern University History of Music Technology Statement: My current research examines human/machine configurations in music, beginning with the 18th century and extending to posthumanist theory and machine learning. The project aims to illuminate the ongoing process of constructing human/nonhuman boundaries, the consequences of those boundaries, and the importance of music to experiencing and transforming them.
