A Social History of Jewish Marriage in Medieval Northern Europe: This project seeks to provide a new framework for thinking about the religious, social, and cultural experiences of marriage for the Jews of Germany, northern France, and England between 1100 and 1350. It situates the practices of these communities in relation to contemporaneous developments in medieval Christian society and in comparison with other Jewish diasporas.
