Quantum field theory on (complete) light cones and regge theory
I will discus quantum field theory operators supported on 'complete' light cones, which are a certain completion of ordinary light cones that I will define in the talk. I will show, by a simple conformal transformation, that in CFTs and near-CFTs such operators govern the high-energy limit of scattering amplitudes (Regge limit). By applying standard operator product expansion (OPE) ideas together with an analysis of the lowest-dimensional operators defined on complete light cones, this will provide a transparent derivation of the BFKL equation as well as its nonlinear generalizations.
