$Tbar T$ Deformation and Topological Gravity
I will show how the $T\bar T$ deformation of a two-dimensional QFT is related to coupling this QFT to a certain gravitational theory. This theory provides a natural set of clocks and rods which allow to define and compute the partition function on a torus. The result is the same as in the $T\bar T$ deformed theory. The agreement also holds at the level of the S-matrices, as long as they can be defined. This supports the conjecture that $T\bar T$ deformation is, in fact, a gravitational theory.
